We have over 30 years of experience in making beautiful footstools and our team are used to handling enquiries for all sorts of bespoke requests.
As we make everything to order to our customers specifications we can usually accommodate most things – and, above all, we do love a challenge.

What counts as a Bespoke or Made to Measure Footstool?

Your footstool may fall into our bespoke or Made to Measure category if you wish to change one or more of the following things:

A change to standard dimensions.

We can easily alter the dimension of your footstool and can give advice. You could change the height, width and/or depth of your footstool. Other ways to increase or reduce the height may be to change the pad height or simply choose a different leg height.

The footstool below has had an increase in the pad height from the standard 6 ins to the customer’s desired height.

Changing the legs/feet.

All of our stock legs (sometimes called feet and vice versa) can be easily swapped. We have access to many other styles of leg and we may be able to track down exactly what you are after if you do not see it on our selection.
However, our footstools are all made to receive an M8 threaded bolt. If you wish, you can supply your own as long as they have this same thread.

Bespoke Trim Options.

If you wish for us to substitute your footstools’ piping around the border or the trim we can certainly do that.

Cords, flanged trims and braids are all possible including fringing.  Braids can also be applied to the bottom edge of your footstool in place of piping or studs/nails.

You can also specify a contrasting fabric for your piping which adds a lovely touch.

Can I use my own fabric?

Yes!  We accept Customer’s Own Material for any of our footstools and ottomans. We have a fully comprehensive guide here.

What about a different shape footstool?

We are very happy to quote for any shape you can think of – please just ask. Inspiration or reference images or sketches will help us if you have any.

Ovals, drums, hexagons, pentagons and cloud shapes are popular to name a few.

Changing the style of the top of your footstool.

We offer plain top, shallow buttoned top and deep buttoned footstools as standard, with or without a border. We can make almost anything and so it is worth a call to us to see how we can help.

One off designs.

We are very happy to make you a unique footstool. We can include spaces for trays or glass inserts if you wish. The best thing to do is drop us a line and let us take a look.
