Why choose real wool for a footstool?

Real wool is an upholsterers dream – if we could use it on everything – we would! It’s natural properties make it fire retardant, perfectly tailored and crisp … perfect for your footstool. Real wool is by its very nature, is breathable, anti wrinkle, static resistant and easy to clean. What’s more, it is biodegradable and kind to the environment.

Here at The Footstool Workshop, we make each footstool to your specifications. You can choose the size, shape, fabric, feet and finish online. You can even approve your choice of fabric for your footstool, at home, via our free sampling service.

We run many colours of Wool Plain and many checks too … You can even provide your own real wool or tweed to us for upholstery if you wish.

Wool Plain

Our Wools make up beautifully on any product. Made of 100% natural fibres, wool is kind to the skin. This Pure Wool is made in the UK using unique mélange yarns, a blend of between two and seven dyed wools for richness of colour.
